Two killed in overnight accident on I-35 near Thackerville

Two people were killed last night in a violent crash on I-35 near Thackerville.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident happened just after 9 p.m. near mile marker nine.

The vehicle, an SUV, was reportedly traveling at more than 100 mph on the highway when it came upon two semis in the roadway. The driver was unable to slow down in time and rear-ended one of the semis, smashing the vehicle violently.

The driver and a male passenger in the front of the vehicle were killed in the accident and one female passenger in the back was flown to a Plano hospital.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

An investigation is still ongoing, but speed is being listed as the likely cause of the accident.
No names are being released at this time.

Mother testifies in Gray murder trial in Grayson County

The murder trial for Robert Gray Jr. continued Monday in Grayson County, and included testimony from the victim’s mother, Holly White.

An emotional White took the stand and described how Gray would restrain her son, Brandon White, when he would have seizures. She said they would cut the sheets on his bed and use them to tie down and gag Brandon, then Gray would sit on his back and they would leave for 30 minutes while he was restrained.

Testimony will continue today and the trial is expected to end on Wednesday.

APD still searching for 'persons of interest' to question on two homicides on Sunday and Monday

The Ardmore Police Department is still searching for three persons of interest in regards to two homicides that happened on Sunday and Monday mornings.

Police are looking for Ricky Gene McGee, Jr.; Rodney Marquis Cohee and Norman Dimitri Levoy Washington III.
